Sweet & Sour Dip

Ingredients

1/4 cup   Onions, minced

1 tsp       Oil

1 cup      Pineapple juice

1/2 cup   Tomato sauce

2 T         Cornstarch

3-4 T      Honey or brown sugar

1 T         Lemon juice (or 1/8tsp citric acid)

1/4 tsp    Salt

 

Directions

In a small saucepan, sauté onions in oil until translucent.  Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir until cornstarch is dissolved.  Add to saucepan and cook over medium heat until clear.  Add more pineapple juice or water if sauce is too thick.  Yield:  2 cups
