Green Beans Almondine
| Ingredients l lb Fresh or frozen green beans
(opt) Salt or garlic salt to taste
1/3 cup Sliced or slivered almonds
1 T Nutritional yeast flakes
1 T. Sesame seeds |

Directions
Snap or
French cut green beans. Simmer, covered, in a large skillet with
a small amount of water until tender. Sprinkle lightly with salt
if desired. Meanwhile, prepare almonds by placing them on a cookie
sheet in the oven at 250°F, and roast until lightly toasted. Or,
heat in a frying pan without oil over med-lo heat, stirring often
until lightly browned. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
When beans have completed cooking, add yeast to water remaining in the
skillet and stir until dissolved. Add more water if necessary until it
has the appearance of melted butter. Spoon green beans into a
shallow serving dish and garnish with almonds and sesame seeds |
