Boston Baked Beans

Ingredients
1 lb
1-2 tsp
2 T
1 cup
3 T
1 or more
3 T

Great
Northern Beans (small whites)
Salt
Oil
Tomato
Sauce
Dark
Molasses
Onion,
leave whole
Light
Brown Sugar or Honey |
Directions
SIMMER
beans in enough water to cover until tender. Drain most of the
liquid off, but save it to add back later if you prefer soupy
consistency.
MIX
all ingredients together, placing whole onion in center. Push it
down under beans.
BAKE
4-6 hours covered in 350°F oven or for as long as
possible, at least 2 hours. Remove onion before serving.
